At BWPS, we know how important it is to prepare for a big school.
During Term 4 we are offering a fantastic 'Head Start' program for all students enrolled to start Kindergarten at BWPS in 2022.
Headstart is an innovative, prior to school program run by Bankstown West Public School. It aims to familiarise children with the school and its routines in the year before they start kindergarten. The program actively engages children in the type of learning experiences they will encounter in their first year of school and enables them to establish positive relationships with their peers, with teachers and with older students at the school.
Each week, we will be focusing on a new skill/learning outcome so attendance at all sessions is very important.
The program will run for 10 weeks in Term 4, every Friday with two groups attending throughout the day. Headstart is staffed by a qualified Kindergarten teacher as well as some of our wonderful School Learning Support Officers.
The program is run for students enrolling at Bankstown West Public School in 2022 and enrolment forms are available from the School Administration Office.
