🤝RELATIONSHIP Domain in Our Classrooms 🤝
At BWPS, we are proud to use the Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) to support every child’s wellbeing and learning. A key part of BSEM is the RELATIONSHIP domain.
The RELATIONSHIP domain focuses on building strong, positive connections between students, teachers, and the whole school community. Strong relationships help students feel safe, supported, and ready to engage in learning.
Some examples of RELATIONSHIP activities we use in class include:
🧩 Morning Check-Ins
✅ We start the day with check-ins, helping students feel seen, heard, and ready to learn.
🎨 Team Building Activities
✅ Group activities help students build trust, cooperation, and friendship.
💬 Positive Language and Feedback
✅ We use encouraging words to help students feel confident and connected.
🌟 Classroom Agreements
✅ Students help create classroom agreements to promote respect, kindness, and responsibility.
🎉 Celebrating Achievements Together
✅ Recognising effort and success builds a positive and supportive learning environment.
How you can support at home:
🏠 Encourage your child to talk about their day and the friends they made.
🎯 Praise positive interactions like sharing, listening, and showing kindness.
🗣️ Remind your child how important it is to treat others with respect and care.💙
