At BWPS, we recognise the importance of children being Known, Valued and Cared for. Through targeted, specific programs such as the Berry Street Wellbeing Program, we focus on enhancing the social, emotional and physical wellbeing of students through evidence-based programs and engaging, fun activities.
The Berry Street Wellbeing Program focuses on enhancing the social, emotional, and physical wellbeing of students through evidence-based practices and engaging activities. By integrating this program into the PDH curriculum, we empower students to develop resilience, build positive relationships, and create a supportive school community where every student is ready to learn and thrive.
The Berry Street Education Model offers practical, trauma-informed strategies that boost engagement, wellbeing, self-regulation and academic achievement, especially for students with complex learning needs. The curriculum is designed to enable teachers to adapt the components to their own classroom context. Each part is designed to be a strategy, a brain break, or a lesson plan.
The Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) is grounded in 25 years of trauma-informed practice, positive psychology, and learning science, supported by Berry Street’s 140 years of experience with children and families. Backed by over a decade of research, BSEM strengthens whole-school consistency, enhancing engagement, wellbeing, academic growth, and school culture.
